Yet ironically, we continue to waste tonnes of food. Solely in Hong Kong, according to the Environmental Protection Department, there is approximately 3,600 tonnes of food wasted every day. These numbers are embarrassing and unacceptable when so many people are suffering from starvation in the world today.
